I just want to go on record as saying that obama siding with unions over a Governor attempting to get his State's budget on track will be the straw that broke the camels back.
There is very little, if any, support for government employees in this Country right now. And as the details are released about exactly what the argument with the unions is all about, lack of support will turn to anger.
Most people in this Country who still have a job, finance their own retirement plan. Some companies may do a partial match of an employees contribution, but the days of a fully employer funded retirement plan in the private sector are long gone.
Most people in the private sector pay a much larger percentage of their health insurance than union government employees do. And usually government employees have better plans.
For a Governor to ask government employees to pick up a little more of the costs associated with their retirement and health care is not the end of the world...
