Kansas City earnings tax...

On Tuesday, Kansas City, Missouri voters will head to the polls. One of the issues on the ballot will be the earnings tax.

I don't live in Kansas City and I don't work there either, so I have no dog in this fight. But if I did, you can bet I would be voting to get rid of it. The lawmakers of Kansas City have come to rely on it so much that it is about 40% of their budget.

It's a deterrent to new business and it's a chunk of people's pay checks that could better be spent by the people earning the money instead of a bunch of politicians.

If you are a Kansas City voter, do your research, but I bet you come to the same conclusion I would. Vote to end the earnings tax...
